The Revolutionary Permanent Dermal Filler

Exclusively at Lasting SkinSolutions®

Botox MilwaukeeSo what is this seemingly magical, new revolutionary material which promises to make the surgical face lift obsolete? Approved by the FDA for use in the United States, the revolutionary long lasting dermal filler, Bellafill® broke onto the scene in 2006 and changed the face of cosmetic dermatology forever. Used for over a decade throughout Europe and Canada, Bellafill® is the first filler of its kind to receive approval from the FDA, and is available exclusively at Lasting SkinSolutions®. Bellafill® provides a long-term solution to smooth away telltale lines and wrinkles. It takes just a short office visit and produces immediate results, which last!

With Bellafill®, you get the same beautiful results as with short term collagen fillers, but they last 5-7 years or more!  It was the creation of Bellafill® which made Lasting SkinSolutions® founder Kim Schuchardt and her breakthrough “AirBrush FaceLift®” technique famous. Bellafill® is the secret ingredient in founder Kim Schuchardt’s patented “AirBrush FaceLift®” technique.

Lasting SkinSolutions® has an exclusive on Bellafill®. Why? Because when the people at Bellafill® saw what Kim Schuchardt could do with their product, they knew immediately that a revolution was taking place. They asked Kim to establish a training facility at Lasting SkinSolutions® to teach her method to others, and the Facial Restore InstituteTM was born.

In the hands of the skilled artist, Bellafill® can be used to safely and naturally replace the collagen lost with age, and recreate the natural contours of your younger face.

Carefully placed injectable tethers of Bellafill® defy gravity and lift the face to where it was years ago. What had fallen down goes back up! Sagging skin is lifted, wrinkles minimize, and a stronger jaw line of youth magically reappears.

Bellafill® works like nothing before because it contains a substance which is not absorbed by the body like simple collagen fillers. Bellafill® is a combination of well-known temporary filler (Collagen), and a permanent acrylic based polymer known as polymethyl methacrylate, or PMMA. Bellafill® contains 80% purified bovine collagen and 20% Bellafill® Precision-Filtered Microspheres. These microspheres are made of PMMA, the same material used for dozens of medical implants over the last 50 years. As the collagen portion of Bellafill® is absorbed over time, the Bellafill® PMMA microspheres stimulate collagen production by the skin and finally become encapsulated by the patient's own collagen fibers. This is why Bellafill® works, and provides the never before seen, lasting results which are just not possible with short-term collagen fillers.

Temporary fillers such as Restylane®, Juvederm® and Radiesse® are eventually absorbed by the body and repeat injections are required to maintain results. Bellafill® is different because Bellafill®’s microspheres are not absorbed by the body. These magic microspheres provide the permanent support needed for immediate, long-lasting wrinkle correction, and stimulate your own natural production of collagen to reverse the effects of gravity for 5-7 years or more. The length of result depends on your own collagen depletion as the aging process continues.

Bellafill® is the first and only permanent dermal filler approved by the FDA.

Lasting SkinSolutions® has been chosen exclusively to treat clients with Bellafill® because of its unprecedented results with dermal fillers. The procedure is done in a short office visit, which takes only about 30 minutes. The amazing results are immediate, and the results long lasting.

With the advent of Bellafill®, cosmetic science has gone beyond filling lines and wrinkles. Men and women can now take advantage of natural and long lasting injectables to rejuvenate and re-sculpt the face and avoid the knife.  Bellafill® is a critical component of Kim Schuchardt’s ground breaking “AirBrush FaceLift®”. Without Bellafill®, the “AirBrush FaceLift®” would not provide the same lasting results.

Do the injections hurt?

Generally, there is virtually no discomfort at all at the time of the treatment, since Bellafill® is mixed with an anesthetic.

What will I look like after treatment?

You can expect some redness and possible swelling at the site of injection. Because the procedure is an injection there is a possibility of bruising.

When will I see results with Bellafill® and how long will the results last?

Some results of your Bellafill® treatment can be seen immediately, however as you recover from the injections and your own collagen replaces the Bovine Collagen, final results are seen with 4-12 weeks. Results of the treatment can last 5-7 years or more. The number of treatments needed depends on the extent of each client’s needs, depending on the area desired for correction, depth of the wrinkles and folds, your age and the condition of your skin.

What results should I expect from the treatment?

Bellafill® results are similar to results obtainable using other fillers such as Restylane, Juvederm, and Radiesse. The major difference is that results from Bellafill® are long lasting. Typically only 2 injections, about 4-6 weeks apart, are needed to get a lasting correction.

What other wrinkle and line fillers are available?

Juvederm®/Restylane® (Hyaluronic acid) – Lasts up to 12 months
Perlane®/Juvederm Plus® (Hyaluronic acid) – Lasts up to 18 months
Radiesse® (CaHA microspheres Calcium hydroxylapatite)  – Lasts up to 12 months
Sculptra® (Poly-L_Lactic Acid) – Lasts up to 3 years
Silikon 1000 (Silicone) – Lasts up to 5-7 years

Fat Transfer vs. Injectable Filler

Microlipoinjection, also called autologous fat transfer, is a procedure in which an individual's own body fat is used to plump up sunken or emaciated areas of the face or to add volume where desired. The word "autologous" simply refers to the use of one's own tissues or fat. Because the patient's own fat is used, autologous fat transfer requires three steps. The first step involves the gentle liposuction of some excess fat (such as that found in the jowls, abdomen, thighs, or buttocks). The second step involves the isolation and cleansing of the fat cells. The third and final step involves the injection of the fat cells into the targeted facial areas (i.e., the fat cell transplantation).

Facial fat injections are commonly performed to correct areas on the face such as smile lines, frown lines, marionette lines (running from the sides of the mouth down to the chin), wrinkles and furrows, and hollows in the face (such as under the eyes or under the cheekbones). Lips that have lost volume may also be treated through fat transfer as can scars or depressions in the face from scars (such as those from acne). While this procedure sounds like a viable option to treating the aging face, it is important to weight the risk factors against the benefits of a procedure of this nature.

Facial fat sculpting offers several major benefits. In addition to correcting problems of the aging face, autologous fat transfer is natural. The material used is not from an animal, or a cadaver, or a synthetic product. It's also versatile; the fat can be used for many facial imperfections, including scars and depressions in the skin. The effects of facial fat sculpting are very long-lasting  and facial fat sculpting is safe, since there are no allergic reactions to worry about, because the fat transplantation is from your own body.

The risks of fat transfer/fat injection however are something to consider heavily. First of all, facial fat sculpting is surgery. As with any surgery there are possible complications such as unsatisfactory result, complications with anesthesia, soreness, swelling and bruising. In addition, the most significant down-side of the procedure is that your face or lips may simply reabsorb all or most of the fat injection. The chances of this happening can't be predicted for a given individual, but it happens in up to half of all patients who receive fat injection treatments.

Rare but possible fat transfer risks and complications include an allergic reaction to the local anesthetic, permanent discoloration caused by a ruptured blood vessel at the treatment site, calcification, a distorted look if overcorrection is done, peri-operative bleeding, a blood clot at the treatment or donor site, a blood-borne infection (perhaps from another cosmetic or dental procedure), scar tissue, and a fat embolism caused by a fat injection mistakenly directed into a blood vessel.

In contrast to fat transfers, dermal fillers may be used to correct the same signs of aging but with far less risk. The most commonly seen side effects with dermal fillers include temporary soreness, swelling and bruising. Most importantly, with long lasting fillers such as Sculptra® and Artefill® now readily available in the United States, injectables are able to provide safe and natural looking results that rival the longevity of a more risky and unpredictable fat transfer.
